Introducing our MOHS Surgeon, Aerlyn Dawn, M.D.
Dr. Aerlyn Dawn is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon and board-certified dermatologist. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and received his medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine. After his internship at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Dr. Dawn completed his dermatology training at the University Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He then completed a fellowship in dermatologic surgery and procedural dermatology and has extensive experience in Mohs surgery for skin cancer, reconstructive surgery, and a wide variety of cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Dawn is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He has served on the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery, and as a dermatology representative to the American Medical Association. Dr. Dawn has also taught medical students and residents at the University of Maryland, Wake Forest University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Cooper University Hospital in New Jersey. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Dermatology Foundation, and The Skin Cancer Foundation. Dr. Dawn has authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters and regularly presents at national dermatology and dermatologic surgery meetings.
